STIGA SPORTS NEW TITLE SPONSOR FOR THE SCANDINAVIAN YOUTH CUP PADEL EXPLOSION

The Scandinavian-wide padel tournament, between 2022 and 2024 called Bullpadel Explosion, has recently entered into a collaboration with the world-renowned Swedish sports & leisure brand STIGA Sports. The collaboration extends over three years, i.e. until 2027. The tournament will thus change its name to STIGA PADEL EXPLOSION. The entire competition, including the preparatory regional finals, will also use the STIGA Ace as the official ball.

We are deeply impressed by the organizers and initiators Malin Persson and Båstad Padelklubb and their work with the tournament. New for this year is that we complement the existing 14- and 16-year-old classes with a 12-year-old class. STIGA Padel Explosion is open to both girls and boys in all age categories. The goal is to become the largest youth padel tournament in the Nordic region.” adds Malin Persson, who is responsible for the competition.

ABOUT STIGA PADEL EXPLOSION:

STIGA Padel Explosion is a Nordic youth competition with its finals in Båstad July 29 to August 2, 2025. The final is held at Båstad Padel's facility at Stationstorget, where you have access to five indoor courts and three outdoor courts. This ensures optimal playing conditions regardless of the weather. Competitions are held at regional level and follow the Swedish Padel Federation's regional divisions. Denmark and Norway have separate qualifiers via their respective padel associations. Qualifying tournaments will be played in several regions in Sweden to ensure that the very best players get the chance to fight for the coveted title.

STIGA Padel Explosion is working towards a more sustainable future in sport. By partnering with PreZero, we aim to minimize our environmental impact and create a greener sports experience. PreZero is responsible for recycling and waste management at the qualifiers and finals in Båstad. The goal is to become one of the world's most resource-efficient and sustainable youth events. In an innovative way, we want to make young people environmentally aware from an early age.


BÅSTAD'S ROLE FOR PADEL IN SWEDEN:

Båstad Padel Club was founded in 2010 and is thus the country's oldest. It was in Båstad that the first outdoor court for the sport was built and Båstad has also hosted a number of international tournaments with the world elite. With participants from Sweden, Norway and Denmark, young people come together to experience high-quality padel, camaraderie and development. In the long term, the idea is that the tournament can also grow internationally and become a global meeting place for padel youth.
